My business experience began early. Not unlike most kids, my summers and afternoons were filled with jobs. My first jobs included catching grasshoppers for bait, paper boy and mowing lawns. Every craft taught in junior high became a profit center, with the help of my number one saleswoman, my mom. She sold my keychains and clothespin rocking chairs better than a congressman sells pork. During highschool, until baseball became a fulltime commitment, I delivered bread and landscaped yards. In 1986 I enrolled at Mesa, Arizona Community College with the goals of being a collegiate baseball player. I completed my college education at Arizona State University. 4 1/2 years later with the assistance of federal aid, fulltime jobs and many an all-nighter I graduated with a B.S. in Marketing. The experience was excellent. I managed to participate in Greek, philanthropic and intramural activities. Post-college I worked for two manufacturing companies as a 'road-warrior'. With real life experience in hand, I started my own businesses, some were successful and some learning experiences.
